ROLE:
The Medical School expansion works comprised the design and construction of two 3,000m2 two-storey teaching blocks and a 300 seat lecture theatre to support the expansion of the Medical Research, Pharmacy and Anatomy teaching program at James Cook University’s Douglas Campus in Townsville.
MCD Australia was responsible for providing cost management services including cost planning through the design stages, maintaining cost management procedures during construction, financial reporting, performing regular financial audits and monitoring against project budgets. MCD also performed the role of Client Representative as independent assessor.
