ROLE:
The project consisted of 3 cold store tenancies, being 19,500sqm of GFA over the 40,700 sqm site, each with its own cold room, freezer and 2-storey Office constructed over an 18 month programme. The development had a central refrigeration plantroom with integrated flow meters monitoring the refrigeration consumption for each tenancy.
Four Solar Arrays were provided to the building, 1 x 50kW system per tenancy and 1 x 200kW system for community power (incl refrigeration plant). 29 dock levelers were constructed along with a glycol based sub floor heating system.
The purpose built Refrigeration System (Ammonia based) provided:
Internal Cold Room Height = 11.5m
Freezer Temps = -25C to -1C
Coldroom Temps = 0C to +8C
Anteroom Temps = +3C to +12C
Unit 1 Cold Store / Freezer 6,050 sqm and Office are of 350 sqm
Unit 2 Cold Room / Freeze 6,520 sqm and Office area of 350 sqm
Unit 3 Cold Room / Freezer 5,785 sqm and Office area of 340 sqm
